Last Updated: 01/10/2026
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the access to and use of the applications, websites, content, and services provided by Company (“DoctorVoice,” “the Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to doctors and medical service providers in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Please read these Terms carefully before registering, accessing, or using the Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between DoctorVoice and you as a doctor using the Platform (“Doctor,” “you,” “your,” or “Service Provider”).
DoctorVoice operates as a technology platform and technical intermediary that provides the digital infrastructure through which users may access independent doctors and receive remote medical consultations and follow-up services. DoctorVoice does not independently practice medicine, diagnose patients, prescribe treatment, or act as a medical facility or healthcare establishment.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms, subject to applicable Egyptian law. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use the Services.
DoctorVoice may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect legal, regulatory, technical, or operational developments. Material amendments may be communicated through email, in-app notifications, SMS, or other appropriate means.
Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms to the extent permitted by law.
Additional terms may apply to specific Services, features, or programs. Where applicable, such supplementary terms form part of these Terms. In the event of a conflict, the supplementary terms shall prevail only with respect to the relevant Service or feature.
1. Professional Eligibility and Declaration
1.1 The Doctor declares that they hold the qualifications and professional authorization required to practice medicine in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
1.2 The Doctor declares that they are duly registered with the competent professional authority and hold a valid medical practice license, as applicable to their profession and specialty.
1.3 The Doctor agrees to comply with all applicable Egyptian laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical requirements, including, as applicable:
• Law No. 415 of 1954 concerning the practice of medicine, as amended.
• Law No. 13 of 2025 concerning the regulation of medical liability and patient safety, and its implementing regulations and decisions.
• Law No. 151 of 2020 concerning the protection of personal data, and its implementing regulations and relevant decisions.
• Applicable professional and ethical rules issued by the competent medical and health authorities.
1.4 The Doctor declares that all information, licenses, certificates, and documents submitted to DoctorVoice are accurate, complete, and valid.
1.5 DoctorVoice may verify the authenticity and validity of the Doctor's professional information and may request additional documents when reasonably necessary to verify eligibility.
1.6 The Doctor must immediately notify DoctorVoice of any suspension, expiry, restriction, cancellation, or other change affecting their professional license or eligibility to provide medical services through the Platform.
1.7 If the Doctor loses or has their professional authorization suspended or restricted, the Doctor must immediately cease providing medical services through the Platform, without prejudice to any responsibilities imposed by applicable law.
2. Nature of the Services
2.1 DoctorVoice provides a digital technology platform and technical infrastructure that enables users to communicate with independent doctors for remote medical consultations and follow-up services.
2.2 Depending on the features available through the Platform, patients may submit:
• Voice messages describing their complaints.
• Medical and health information.
• Patient forms.
• Images and videos.
• Medical reports.
• Laboratory results.
• X-rays and other imaging.
• Other relevant medical documents.
2.3 The Doctor may review the information submitted by the patient and may request additional information, images, reports, laboratory results, or other relevant material where professionally necessary.
2.4 Remote consultation does not replace an in-person examination where an in-person examination, diagnostic procedure, physical assessment, or direct medical intervention is necessary.
2.5 The Services must not be used as a substitute for emergency medical services.
2.6 DoctorVoice is not a hospital, clinic, medical facility, or healthcare establishment and does not independently practice medicine through the Platform.
3. Independent Professional Status and Medical Responsibility
3.1 The Doctor provides medical services as an independent medical professional. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, agency, or representation relationship between the Doctor and DoctorVoice unless expressly established under a separate written agreement.
3.2 The Doctor is professionally responsible for their own medical assessment, diagnosis, medical opinion, treatment plan, prescription, and other professional decisions made in connection with a patient.
3.3 The Doctor shall exercise the professional care, diligence, honesty, and accuracy required by applicable law and professional standards, taking into account the patient's condition and the limitations of remote consultation.
3.4 The Doctor must not issue a medical opinion, diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription when the information available is materially insufficient for a professionally appropriate decision.
3.5 Where additional information or an in-person examination is necessary, the Doctor must request the necessary information or advise the patient to seek appropriate in-person medical care.
3.6 Nothing in these Terms shall constitute a waiver, exclusion, or limitation of any medical liability that cannot legally be waived or limited under Egyptian law.
3.7 DoctorVoice remains responsible for its own legal and contractual obligations relating to the operation of the Platform, technical services, customer support, data protection, and other obligations imposed directly on the Platform by applicable law.
4. Artificial Intelligence and Technical Assistance
4.1 The Platform may use artificial intelligence and automated technologies to assist in organizing information submitted by patients, understanding the nature of a complaint at an initial level, assisting with specialty identification, and summarizing or structuring relevant information.
4.2 AI-generated outputs do not constitute a final medical diagnosis, prescription, treatment decision, or independent medical advice.
4.3 AI tools must not be treated as a substitute for the Doctor's independent professional judgment.
4.4 The Doctor is responsible for independently reviewing the available medical information and making their own professional decision.
4.5 The Doctor must not prescribe or recommend treatment solely because an automated system has suggested it.
4.6 The Doctor remains professionally responsible for any medical decision they make after reviewing AI-assisted information.
5. Use of the Platform and Patient Communication
5.1 Doctors must use the Platform only for authorized professional purposes.
5.2 Patient communication must be professional, respectful, clear, and consistent with applicable medical and ethical standards.
5.3 Medical consultations and follow-up communications should be conducted through the communication tools designated by the Platform unless DoctorVoice expressly authorizes another method.
5.4 The Doctor must not:
• Request or accept direct payment from a patient outside the payment system approved by DoctorVoice for a service originating through the Platform.
• Direct a patient to communicate or pay outside the Platform for the purpose of bypassing the Platform's operational or financial system.
• Use patient information obtained through DoctorVoice to establish an external medical or commercial relationship in violation of applicable policies or law.
• Request unnecessary personal information from patients.
• Use patient information for personal, promotional, or commercial purposes without proper authorization.
• Copy, download, photograph, or retain patient information outside approved systems unless reasonably necessary and legally permitted.
• Share patient information with any person who is not legally or professionally authorized to receive it.
5.5 Doctors must not use the Platform for unauthorized personal advertising, clinic promotion, or promotion of other services in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws or Platform policies.
6. Consultation Availability and Patient Communication
6.1 Doctors may indicate their preferred availability through the Platform for receiving consultation requests.
6.2 Communication with patients should take place through the Platform's designated tools in order to support confidentiality, security, documentation, and service management.
6.3 Depending on the consultation flow available in the application, patients may request a consultation through either of the following options:
A. Fastest Available Doctor
The request may be made available to doctors in the requested specialty. The first available doctor who accepts the request may begin handling the consultation, with a target of starting the consultation within 15 minutes of acceptance, subject to system availability and operational circumstances.
B. Choose a Doctor
The patient may select a specific doctor.
If the selected doctor is available, the target is to begin the consultation within 15 minutes.
If the selected doctor is unavailable, the request may be handled within the operational timeframe communicated to the patient through the application, which may extend up to 24 hours.
6.4 A Doctor who marks themselves as available must monitor and appropriately respond to incoming requests during the period of stated availability.
6.5 Doctors should not mark themselves as available when they are unable to reasonably respond to incoming requests.
6.6 If a Doctor cannot provide a consultation under the applicable service conditions, the Doctor should take the appropriate action through the Platform, including declining the request or notifying the Platform where necessary.
6.7 DoctorVoice may, where appropriate and subject to doctor availability, redirect a request to another doctor in the same specialty if the selected Doctor is unable to provide the service.
6.8 Patient communication must always be clear, professional, and respectful.
7. Follow-Up Services
7.1 Each paid consultation may include one free follow-up with the same Doctor who provided the original consultation, subject to the applicable service terms.
7.2 The free follow-up must be requested or used within one week from the date of the original consultation.
7.3 The Doctor is responsible for appropriately reviewing and responding to a follow-up request addressed to them, taking into account the patient's condition and the information available.
7.4 If the Doctor does not respond to a follow-up request within the applicable operational timeframe, DoctorVoice may, subject to availability, redirect the follow-up to another Doctor in the same specialty.
7.5 If the follow-up cannot be delivered because of an operational issue attributable to DoctorVoice and no suitable alternative is available, the patient may request a refund of the original consultation in accordance with the applicable Refund Policy.
7.6 Once the follow-up period has expired or the included follow-up has been used, any additional medical request or continuation shall constitute a new medical consultation and shall be subject to the applicable service terms and fees shown in the application at that time.
7.7 The Doctor shall use professional judgment in determining whether a communication falls within the scope of the included follow-up or requires a new consultation.
8. Medical Information and Professional Advice
8.1 Medical information provided by the Doctor must be accurate and based on the information reasonably available to the Doctor and the applicable professional standards.
8.2 Where appropriate, the Doctor should explain the relevant medical information in a manner reasonably understandable to the patient, including the medical assessment, relevant treatment options, material risks or complications, warnings, precautions, and alternatives where applicable.
8.3 If additional information is required before making a professional decision, the Doctor should request that information rather than making an inappropriate decision based on insufficient information.
8.4 If the condition cannot be safely assessed or managed remotely, the Doctor must advise the patient to seek an in-person examination or appropriate medical care.
9. Prescriptions, Treatment Plans, and Informed Consent
9.1 The Doctor must not issue a prescription or treatment plan unless the professional assessment required by the nature of the case has been completed.
9.2 Where informed consent is required by law or by the nature of a medical procedure or treatment, the Doctor must comply with the applicable legal and professional requirements.
9.3 The Doctor must provide the patient, as applicable, with sufficient information regarding the proposed treatment or procedure, including its nature, material risks, potential complications, relevant alternatives, and other information required for an informed decision.
9.4 DoctorVoice may provide an electronic mechanism through which the patient can confirm or acknowledge receipt of information or consent to a specified action.
9.5 Selecting “Agree” or “Confirm” shall not constitute a blanket waiver of the patient's rights and shall not, by itself, automatically establish that all legal requirements for informed consent have been satisfied.
9.6 Where the patient requires further explanation, the Doctor must provide appropriate clarification through the communication tools available through the Platform.
9.7 The Platform may technically restrict access to a prescription or treatment-plan document until the required electronic confirmation has been completed.
9.8 Such technical confirmation does not replace the Doctor's professional responsibility to explain the relevant treatment and obtain any consent required by law.
9.9 Where a specific informed-consent form, process, or documentation is required by applicable law or by the competent authority, the Doctor must follow the applicable requirement.
9.10 The Platform may maintain an electronic record of the date, time, and method through which the patient's confirmation or acknowledgment was recorded.
10. Emergencies and Critical Conditions
10.1 DoctorVoice is not intended to replace emergency medical services.
10.2 If, based on the information available, the Doctor reasonably considers that a patient may be experiencing an emergency, critical condition, or potentially life-threatening situation, the Doctor must clearly advise the patient to seek immediate medical attention.
10.3 In Egypt, the Doctor may direct the patient to contact the Egyptian Ambulance Service at 123 or proceed to the nearest appropriate emergency department or medical facility.
10.4 The Doctor must not allow use of the Platform or waiting for a response to delay appropriate emergency medical care.
11. Patient Data Privacy and Confidentiality
11.1 The Doctor must maintain the confidentiality of all personal, medical, and health information obtained through the Platform.
11.2 Health and medical information shall be treated in accordance with applicable Egyptian data protection requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and applicable implementing regulations and decisions.
11.3 Patient information must not be disclosed, transferred, or used outside the scope of providing the service or fulfilling a legal or professional obligation.
11.4 Doctors must not:
• Retain unauthorized copies of medical records.
• Share patient photographs, reports, or medical information without lawful authorization.
• Use patient information for personal advertising or marketing.
• Transfer patient information to personal devices or accounts without a legitimate necessity and appropriate legal basis.
• Continue using patient information after termination of the Doctor's relationship with the Platform for purposes not permitted by law.
11.5 Doctors must comply with DoctorVoice's information-security and data-protection instructions.
11.6 The Doctor must immediately notify DoctorVoice if they become aware of any loss, unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized access, or security incident involving patient information obtained through the Platform.
12. Medical Records, Reports, and Diagnostic Information
12.1 The Doctor is responsible for professionally interpreting X-rays, laboratory results, medical reports, and other medical information relied upon in making a medical decision, within the scope of their qualifications and specialty.
12.2 If the quality or completeness of an image, report, laboratory result, or other information is insufficient, the Doctor should request additional or clearer information where necessary.
12.3 The Doctor must not represent that they have physically examined a patient or measured vital signs when they have not actually done so.
12.4 The Platform itself does not provide vital-sign measurements or clinical examinations unless a specific device, service, or integration is expressly identified as available.
13. Fees, Payments, and Doctor Entitlements
13.1 Patient fees are collected through the payment methods approved and made available through the application, in accordance with the pricing, plans, discounts, and financial terms applicable at the time of service.
13.2 Specific fees, doctor entitlements, discounts, commissions, or financial incentives are not fixed by these Terms unless expressly stated in an applicable financial schedule, addendum, or written arrangement approved by DoctorVoice.
13.3 Doctor entitlements are calculated based on eligible services actually delivered and recorded through the Platform, subject to applicable adjustments, settlements, and financial procedures.
13.4 Payments to Doctors are processed in accordance with DoctorVoice's applicable payment and settlement cycle and procedures communicated to Doctors.
13.5 Doctors must not attempt to bypass the Platform's financial system or arrange direct payments with patients for services originating through DoctorVoice.
13.6 Doctors must not request or collect patients' payment-card information, passwords, verification codes, or other payment credentials outside the approved payment mechanisms.
14. Ratings and Complaints
14.1 Patients may rate their consultation experience through the rating mechanisms available on the Platform.
14.2 Doctors must not:
• Create or arrange fake reviews.
• Manipulate patient ratings.
• Pressure or threaten patients because of their ratings.
• Attempt to artificially improve or damage ratings.
• Use multiple accounts to influence the rating system.
14.3 DoctorVoice may review patient complaints and ratings relating to the Doctor's conduct, privacy, use of the Platform, or service delivery.
14.4 Internal complaint procedures do not prevent either the Doctor or the patient from exercising any legal or regulatory right available under applicable law.
15. Account Suspension and Termination
15.1 DoctorVoice may suspend, restrict, or terminate a Doctor's access to the Platform where there is a lawful or reasonable basis to do so, including violations of these Terms, applicable policies, professional requirements, or patient-safety concerns.
15.2 A Doctor may request termination of their account in accordance with DoctorVoice's applicable procedures, subject to settlement of outstanding obligations.
15.3 In urgent circumstances involving patient safety, data security, professional eligibility, fraud, or serious misuse of the Platform, DoctorVoice may take immediate protective action, including temporary suspension, pending review.
15.4 Where circumstances permit, DoctorVoice may give the Doctor an opportunity to provide clarification or remedy a violation.
